The Canberra International AIDS Candlelight Memorial event on 17 May is a annual event is an opportunity to remember and honour those who have lost their lives to HIV/AIDS, stand in solidarity with people living with HIV and recognise the many people who have dedicated their lives to supporting and caring for people living with and affected by HIV.
This is a free event and registration is essential. Event details:
Date: Sunday 17 May 2026
Time: 3pm for a 3:30pm start
Location: Ainslie Football Club, 52 Wakefield Avenue, Ainslie
Light refreshments will be served following the Memorial.
Please note: As this event is being held at Ainslie Football Club, guests will be asked to sign in on arrival in line with venue requirements. A valid form of ID will be needed for entry. This includes:
- Australian drivers licence (physical or digital where applicable)
- proof of age or photo identity card, passport
- overseas driver's licence (with accompanying international driving permit).
