Lesbian Visibility Week aims to show solidarity with all queer women and non-binary people in our communities, as well as celebrating lesbians. Lesbian Visibility Week is a voice for unity and lifts up all women, especially those who come from marginalised communities.

31 years ago - on May 17, 1990 - the World Health Organization removed homosexuality from the Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems. International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia & Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) celebrates LGBTQIA+ people globally, and raises awareness for the work still needed to combat discrimination.

Pan Visibility Day is on May 24th and is a day to celebrate and recognise those who identify as pansexual. A pansexual person is someone who is sexually or romantically attracted to people regardless of their sex or gender.

The day was inaugurated in Brisbane in 2020 by the LGBTQ Domestic Violence Awareness Foundation. This year the day will be observed nationally by LGTBIQA+ communities, organisations and their friends, families, and allies.

Pride Month is a month, typically June, dedicated to celebration and commemoration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBTIQ+) pride. Pride Month began after the Stonewall riots, a series of gay liberation protests in 1969, and has since spread worldwide. Modern day Pride Month both honors the movement for LGBTIQ+rights and celebrates queer culture.

Wear it Purple Day is an annual LGBTIQA+ awareness day especially for young people, based in Australia. Supporters wear purple to celebrate diversity and young people from the LGBTIQA+ community. The Day is organised by Wear it Purple, a student run, not-for-profit organisation, providing presentations and workshops.

Bisexual Awareness Week, also known as #BiWeek, is an annual celebration week held in September, from September 16 through the 23rd. It is an extension of Celebrate Bisexuality Day, held annually on September 23.
