Dear Kim, Bringing a new life into the world is a wonderful thing, and it should help soften our hearts as we prepare to build a family.
I’m not aware of your agreement, but like I always say, clear and open communication is key. You just might find the father wanting involvement may be a good thing, and in the future, your child may want to know their father. You first need to establish precisely what “involvement” the father would like to have so you can all discuss what's best for everyone involved, including your new baby.
I suggest you try and sort this out with a kind heart, but if this is not possible, then there are family lawyers that can help you navigate this situation.
