Dear Kim, Given your current situation, it does sound challenging to know what you should do. There is probably no wrong or right answer here.
On the one hand, you are in a successful partnership with children, which comes with certain responsibilities. On the other hand, having a relationship with a woman is clearly something that has been on your mind for a while.
With the stakes high, I would be inclined to be cautious, and I would recommend you take the time to unpack how you feel with a counsellor; this will give you the tools to understand what’s really going on and how you want to proceed.
It may seem silly after more than 15 years; however, if having a relationship with a woman is something that you feel will bring happiness, then as with all my advice, honest, open communication is key.
