Let's talk about gay book bans and burning

Recently, we saw a local Sydney cancel try to ban LGBTIQ parenting books from libraries, but in the USA and Russia, they have been challenging and banning books at an unprecedented rate. According to the American Library Association, people requested that more than 4,200 titles be removed from public and school libraries in 2023, the highest number in a single year since the ALA started tracking more than 20 years ago.

Western Sydney Council's Bans Same-Sex Parenting Books

Initiated by former mayor and current councillor Steve Christou, the policy was adopted following a council vote that split narrowly in favor, with six councillors supporting the ban and five opposing it, while four were absent.
